🍯🍎 Order your Raisin Love Boule Challah for a Sweet New Year! 🍯🍎

🍎 🍯
Raisin Love Boule Challah + Apples and Honey

The Jewish holidays are deeply connected with food. For Rosh Hashanah - The Jewish New Year - we bake sweet round Challah. This Friday we will bake our regular Love Boules and also Love Raisin Love Boule Challah featuring shredded organic raisins to add a little extra sweetness. Please place your order for your Love Boule or Raisin Love Boule Challah and we'll have it ready this Friday.

During this time of year, we dip our round sweet challah in honey. Another wonderful tradition - and a fabulously healthy snack - is to dip apples in honey. The apple represents both the earth and the year, and we hope that it will be sweet for all of us!

For us, this is also a time to take a deep breath, make amends, and see what we would like to bring into the new year, and what we would like to leave behind. It's also a time when we look at what we would like to change to make us a better person towards ourselves and others. Personally, these past few days have been hard with friends passing away of cancer at a way too young age. It shows how uncertain and precious life is, and the importance of trying to live each day as a kinder and better person. Please take care of yourself and your loved ones, and maybe show a stranger some extra compassion.

Train Cars Coffee & Kava celebrates one year + Peak Vibes Music Festival!

Train Cars Coffee & Kava Celebrates One Year

When you travel the Peak to Peak Highway, it’s hard to miss the iconic set of three train cars sitting in the middle of Nederland. Converted into a cafe, this landmark has been a local fixture since the early 1980s. In 2022 Train Cars was purchased by longtime employee Jesse Fox and underwent its next stage in transformation. Keeping to the tradition of offering locally roasted coffee and a variety of delectable menu items, Fox also added a full kava menu and a stacked roster of music events.

Whether you are there for the
building itself, the refreshing beverages, the hefty sandwiches, or the different musical events, there’s something for everyone! Working with local businesses to provide top-quality products has been a longtime tradition at the Train Cars. In its current iteration Train Cars
Coffee & Kava is delighted to add Hävenly Baked Goods to its growing list of suppliers, alongside great providers such as Creekside Coffee Roasters, Root Kava Co, Wondervu Cafe, and Jen’s Cafe Bars. You can now enjoy your sandwich on a Hävenly Morning Oat Bun!

Be sure to join Train Cars Coffee & Kava on
September 9th, 2023 as they celebrate their first year as Train Cars Coffee & Kava! The Peak Vibes Music Festival will take place in Nederland from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 a.m. Eleven musical acts will grace the Trains in this free event that will donate 25% of its donations to the Nederland Food Pantry!

Welcome!

💕 Let's Celebrate and Support Creature Comforts 💕

Let's Celebrate and Support Creature Comforts

Jess fulfilled her childhood dream when she transformed the old Pharmaca space on 1647 Pearl Street into a vibrant, bright, and welcoming space to gather. It's all about coffee, beer, wine, and big smiles and Creature Comforts had it's soft opening at the end of July. So imagine the horror when Jess earlier this week found the building broken into and her storage space emptied.  These nasty burglars even took unique furniture Jess was assembling. So this is the time to show her and her wonderful team some extra love. Come and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee (or maybe a glass of wine!) along with a Hävenly Mini Power Muffin or maybe a Hävenly Rustic PB&J!

Where: 1647 Pearl Street (old Pharmaca)
Tues-Sat: 9am - 7pm
Sun: 9 am - 4 pm

Nederland Jazz & Wine Festival this Saturday.
Sold out, but we've got room behind our booth!

We are excited to meet old and new customers, hear the music, and sip some wine! Hopefully, you bought tickets already because it looks like the Jazz & Wine Festival sold out. Want to spend an hour supporting us at our booth? If so, we have an extra ticket for a staff member! First come, first serve: email katarina@havenlybaked.com and we will put your name on the staffing list. The event goes from 11 am - 5 pm so you'll have plenty of time to explore.

We hope we get to see you. Can't come to the Nederland Jazz & Wine Festival? You can always find our products in Nederland at the Mountain Peoples Co-Op and at B&F Supermarket!

🍑 Waves of Grain! Place your today (organic peaches, Hävenly and much more!) 🍑

Proud to partner with Waves Of Grain!

When grocery store organic isn't enough, Waves of Grain (WoG) food cooperative is here for you. WoG provides access to local, fresh, nutrient-dense, pesticide-free food grown and handled by people we know and trust!

Ben and Red, the two current working owners of WoG, set out to make buying food from local farms easier. Ben grew up on an organic farm in Maine and once he moved to Colorado his dedication to providing families with easy access to local and sustainably farmed food fueled him to start WoG. Red, who has a Master's in sustainable food systems, supports farms with soil restoration and sustainable system designs.  Demand was strong, but securing enough supply was difficult. The coop realized that to increase access it also needed to increase production. This year, the coop is working with more and larger farms, as well as helping new farms to get started including the regenerative Mountain Praire Farm. They also offer locally produced products like Hävenly Baked Goods for weekly pick-up in Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, and Loveland! And as of this season, you can visit their farm stand every Thursday at East Simpson Coffee (see more below).

This week's special? Organic Peaches! + Featured Salad of the Week
Place your order today for Western Slope Organic Peaches from Topp Fruits in Peonia. WoG expects to have peaches for the next 3 weeks, depending on availability from the orchard. Wild berries crumble pie & summer memories! ☀️ Inbox Hävenly Baked Goods

Crumble pie made with wild blueberries, raspberries and almond paste.

Back baking for you!
We are back from our vacation! Our bakers got a well-deserved break, and we were able to make some installations in the bakery in preparation for our new oven.

Although I had to work a bit more than anticipated while in Sweden, I was blessed with a lovely time with family and friends. The weather wasn't always playing along, but I have to admit that I prefer the "typical" Swedish summer with some rain and colder temperatures to the heat we are currently experiencing in Boulder! One thing that we loved to do was to go into the forest by my parent's house and pick lots and lots of wild blueberries and raspberries. When we got back the girls helped make a yummy crumble pie with almond paste. Check out the recipe below!

Friendly reminder to place your order for pick up at the bakery.  Pick-up is from 1 pm until 4 pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Need to stop by after 4 pm?  Just email katarina@havenlybaked.com and we'll give you the info needed for a later pick-up.

Berry Crumble Pie with Almond Paste
So I have to confess that I have never used a recipe when making a crumble pie. Therefore, the measurements below are more of a rough guide. Adjust a little as you see fit. The pie will be yummy! If you don't have almond paste you can use coconut sugar, maple syrup or honey instead.

Ingredients
2-3 cups rolled oats
1 cup almond flour
About 1 cup coconut oil
4-5 cups blueberries/raspberries (you can use frozen if you like)
0.5 cup walnuts, hazelnuts or almonds chopped for some crunch (optional)
0.5 -1 cups frozen almond paste ( or substitute with coconut sugar, maple syrup or honey)
Pinch of salt
1 tsp cardamom (optional)

Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375F.
1. Grease a pie form
2. Put the berries in the form (they will shrink substantially so pile high!)
3. Mix the oats, almond flour, chopped nuts, salt, cardamom and chopped almond paste until you get a chunky crumble. Cover the berries with the crumble.
5. Grate frozen almond paste on top
6. Bake for about 20 minutes

Serve as is or with whipped cream, whipped coconut cream or vanilla ice cream! (If you are in Sweden, try vanilla sauce available in all supermarkets).

🤩 Hävenly now at Lucky's Market in Boulder - Lucky us, lucky you! 🤩

*** Hävenly now at Lucky's Market in Boulder ***
Meet us tomorrow at Lucky's in Boulder 2-5 pm
We are thrilled to announce that you can now buy Hävenly Baked Goods at Lucky's Market in Boulder. As you might know, we don't use preservatives in our bread, so you will find us in the freezer section.  To celebrate that we are now at Lucky's, we will do a demo tomorrow Thursday, June 29th between 2-5 pm offering free samples of our baked goods!

A little history. Bo and Trish Sharon founded Lucky's Market in Boulder, CO in 2003. The two had taken over a grocery store then known as the North Boulder Market, and renovated it. The couple chose to make a store focusing primarily on organic food and offering local produce where possible.  Lucky's Market is still a favorite place for many Boulderites to shop. Until this day, Lucky’s Market is proud to support local Colorado businesses and say that they are "Especially excited to partner with smaller brands like Hävenly Baked Goods to provide Gluten and Dairy-Free baked good options to our Boulder and Fort Collins community!”

Did you know that Lucky's also has what they call "Double Ad Wednesdays" where every Wednesday, sales from this week's ad and last week's ad overlap? That's DOUBLE the number of sale items...every Wednesday!

WELCOME
