Chook is all about building quality food systems and making good food accessible to feed and nourish all people and communities. For Chook, it’s all about walking the talk and sustainability is built into everything they do. As a Green Business and B Corp, they aim to make a positive environmental change and stay sustainable through the following practices:
Better Birds - Chook partners with Miller Poultry to source all of our chickens, which are GAP Step 2 Certified.
Friends with Farmers - Chook commits to purchasing >50% of all products from local suppliers.
No Nonsense Goods - Chook is a made-from-scratch kitchen and only features clean labels for every ingredient with no artificial ingredients or preservatives.
Wise Rubbish - food is a full life cycle, and Chook is doing its part to divert from any landfill by composting, recycling, and using recyclable materials. They offer DeliverZero takeaway containers for their most eco-conscious guests to remove any waste from the landfills (& their compost bins).
Everything Matters - What goes into sourcing a plate? A soda? A tomato? Chook must know not just the practice but also the people behind it. Every detail has a story, a face, and a reason.
