For over 40 years, Walnut Cafe has been a Boulder staple, serving up delicious breakfast and lunch with a whole lot of love from two locations (Walnut Street and South Broadway). More than just a restaurant, it’s a gathering place. A place where good food, good people, and good vibes come together and where community is at the heart of everything.

That’s a big part of what makes Hävenly's partnership with Walnut Cafe so special.

Ariel, the owner, has been part of Walnut Cafe’s story for nearly two decades. After finishing her degree at Naropa in 2007, she started working there as a server. Over the years, she grew alongside the cafe—learning, leading, and eventually stepping into management.

In 2022, when the longtime owner was ready to retire after more than 36 years, Ariel took a leap and took over the restaurant. Today, she runs Walnut Cafe alongside her wife, Marti, continuing the legacy while making it their own.

Ask Ariel what she loves most, and it’s simple: the people. Being part of the daily rhythm of the community, connecting with customers, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome—that’s what it’s all about.
